The well-organised tourist office can book single/double rooms in private homes for
around Dkr300/500, plus a Dkr25 booking fee.

Maribo's appealing three-star camping ground has a prime position on Søndersø, with ar-
resting views of the cathedral across the water. It's very well equipped, with a shop, kit-
chen, coin laundry and TV lounge, and it's accessible to people in wheelchairs. The camp-
ing ground is 500m southwest of town.

About 2km southeast of Torvet, this modern hostel near Søndersø has 96 beds. There's a
lakeside trail to town, and you can hire bicycles (Dkr85 per day) to get you about.

Rooms at Ebsens are small and straightforward, but it's a friendly family-run place and rel-
atively good value, especially the four cheaper rooms without toilets. The hotel also has a
cosy, wood-panelled lunch and dinner restaurant (mains Dkr149 to Dkr268) serving
mostly Danish fare.
