The Output Tab
The quality of the image is controlled by the Output tab (Figure 9.29). Here's a
look at its most important settings:

Save Rendered Image Selecting this check box launches the File Explorer dia-
log box, where you can defi ne the name of the rendering that will be saved. You
also can create your rendering and then defi ne the fi le after the fact.
Antialiasing Unless you're running at a very low-screen resolution, the render-
ing of your model will be at a lower resolution than the source model. In order
to keep the edges smooth, Inventor Studio has to calculate a smooth edge. How
this is done depends on the quality settings under Antialiasing. It's important to
note that the higher the quality, the longer the rendering will take.
The Style Tab (Realistic Rendering)
On the Style tab, you set options controlling the way the model works with its
environment. Figure 9.30 shows the Style tab when Realistic has been chosen as
the Render Type on the General tab:
True Refl ection If this option is selected, the parts in a multiple-part rendering
refl ect off one another and other faces of the same part. Not selecting this option
causes the parts to refl ect the elements set in the scene style but not the other
parts. Figures 9.31 and 9.32 illustrate the difference.
