You have your image in your model fi le, but it's not “on” the model. Your fan
blade is concave in the middle, and your images are fl at. This isn't very realistic.
Well, Inventor provides a fun tool for correcting it.
The Decal Tool
The Decal tool is essentially the Emboss tool, but it doesn't affect the volume of
a component; it only stretches an image, document, or even a spreadsheet onto
the faces of a component.
As you can see, the dialog offers few options, and some are available only in
certain circumstances:
Wrap to Face This option allows the image to be stretched to maintain its size
when applied to the surface.
Chain Faces If the image would overlap an adjacent face, having this option on
allows the image to continue onto that face.
