With the screw in place, you need to place the remaining two
screws. You could use Place from Content Center again, but there's no
need to do so because the next two screws are the same as the fi rst.
14. In the Browser, locate the screw you just placed in the assembly. It
should be at the bottom of the components list.
15. Click and drag the screw from the Browser into the Design window.
Doing so creates a new instance of the screw.
16. Constrain the screw to the second hole in the duct. Repeat for the
third hole.
17. Save your work.
The tools for assembling components in Inventor are defi ned by simple forms of
geometry: a face to a face, an axis to an axis, and points to points. Occasionally,
you'll use combinations of these; but if you keep the fundamental geometry in
mind and place components as you want to build the physical product, you'll see
that the assembly tools are easy and maybe even fun to use.
