The highly professional Folgefonni Breførarlag has a range of glacier hikes that set out in
summer from the Fonna Glacier Ski Resort and hike onto the glaciers. The advantage of
doing the walk here is the promise of exceptional views, although you do have to hike
across the snow to reach the glacier.
Tours range from three-hour hikes across the icecap (Nkr500) to three- to six-hour
'Blue-Ice' trips to Juklavassbreen (from Nkr650). The minimum age for participants is 12.
