The closest cabin accommodation to Inari, this is 500m south of the town centre and a
good option. There's a range of cabins and facilities that include a cafe. Lakeside cabins
cost a little more but are worth it for the memorable sunsets. Camping and nonheated cab-
ins are June to September only.

This place, 2km south of town, is a well-equipped lakeside campground with rooms, cot-
tages, a cafe, sauna, and kayaks, boats and bikes for hire. It's the most pleasant place to
pitch a tent hereabouts. Heated cottages are available year-round.

This cosy place run by a Sámi family overlooks the Alakoski rapids and has spruce rooms,
some with a great river view. The standard rooms have been recently renovated, while
chambers in the annexe have appealing Nordic decor, drying cupboard, riverside balcony/
terrace and (most) a sauna. The restaurant (open 11am to 10.30pm) serves delicious Lap-
pish specialities (mains €20 to €31) with relaxing views.
There's a riverside sauna that's a great experience. In summer an underwater camera
beams trouty goings-on to your room TV, while in winter it's an aurora borealis cam.
