Kamppi bus station ( GOOGLE MAP ; www.matkahuolto.fi ) has a terminal for local buses to
Espoo in one wing, while longer-distance buses also depart from here to all of Finland.
OnniBus runs budget routes to several Finnish cities from a stop outside Kiasma: book on-
line in advance for the best prices.

BUSES TO RUSSIA
There are two to four daily services from Helsinki's Kamppi bus station to St Petersburg
(€35, nine hours). Speedier but not necessarily safer are the minibuses that leave at 3pm
daily from the corner of Fredrikinkatu and Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu. These cost €30 to
€35.
TRAIN
Helsinki's train station (Rautatieasema; GOOGLE MAP ; www.vr.fi ) is central, linked to the
metro (Rautatientori stop) and a short walk from Kamppi bus station.
The train is the fastest and cheapest way to get from Helsinki to major centres: express
trains run daily to Turku, Tampere, Kuopio and Lappeenranta among others, and there's a
choice of day and overnight trains to Oulu, Rovaniemi and Joensuu. There are also daily
trains (buy tickets from the international counter) to the Russian cities of Vyborg, St
Petersburg and Moscow.
