FERRIES TO TALLINN & ST PETERSBURG
Several companies cross the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn, capital of Estonia. You can also get
to St Petersburg, Russia, by ferry.
Eckerö Line FERRY

Sails twice daily to Tallinn year-round (adult €19 to €30, day return €25 to €40, car €19
to €39, two to 2½ hours) from Länsiterminaali (West Terminal).
Linda Line FERRY

The fastest to Tallinn. Small passenger-only hydrofoil company heading from handy
Makasiiniterminaali (€35 to €48, return 25% off, day trips 40% off, 1½ hours) seven
times daily.
St Peter Line FERRY

Runs three to four times a week to St Petersburg (summer prices: bunks €55, private
cabins from €182, cars €45, 14 hours). Visa-free stay of up to 72 hours allowed. From
Makasiini terminal. There's a mandatory shuttle bus (for visa-free requirements) from the
harbour to the centre in St Petersburg. This costs an extra €25.
Tallink/Silja (Tallinn) FERRY

Runs at least seven Tallinn services (one-way adult €28 to €47, vehicle from €25, two
hours), from Länsiterminaali.
Viking Line (Tallinn) FERRY

Operates car ferry to Tallinn (adult €21 to €39, vehicle plus two passengers €60 to €100,
2½ hours, two to three daily) from their terminal on Katajanokka island.
