Carelia
BISTRO
4pm-midnight Mon-Sat)
Opposite the Oopperatalo, this is a striking spot set in a former pharmacy for a pre- or
post-show drink or meal. Glamorously decorated in period style, it offers smart bistro fare
and plenty of intriguing wines by the glass.
Kolme Kruunua
FINNISH
4pm-midnight Mon-Sat, 2-11pm Sun)
This unpretentious Finnish local in the suburb of Kruununhaka offers tasty no-frills Fin-
nish dishes such as fried vendace or sausages and mash in a fabulously retro dining area
that hasn't changed since the 1950s. It's all very tasty, and you might want to try a couple
of the other bars hereabouts, very traditional in feel and off the tourist trail.
Ateljé Finne
MODERN FINNISH
5-10pm Tue-Sat)
Good-value modern cuisine at this elegant but relaxed spot. The menu changes regularly
but the daily fish dish is always great.
