Opposite the Oopperatalo, this is a striking spot set in a former pharmacy for a pre- or
post-show drink or meal. Glamorously decorated in period style, it offers smart bistro fare
and plenty of intriguing wines by the glass.

This unpretentious Finnish local in the suburb of Kruununhaka offers tasty no-frills Fin-
nish dishes such as fried vendace or sausages and mash in a fabulously retro dining area
that hasn't changed since the 1950s. It's all very tasty, and you might want to try a couple
of the other bars hereabouts, very traditional in feel and off the tourist trail.

place to be these days, with a range of locally sourcing eateries opening up in this casual
post-industrial precinct. Choose to snack on dim sum, smokehouse fare, fresh pasta and
more, or bring your own meat to grill and graze the kitchen garden for herbs and veget-
ables.
