Nordic elegance and Roman tradition. There are separate hours for men and women.

Hietaranta BEACH
( GOOGLE MAP )
Helsinki has several city beaches and this is the best. It's a likeable stretch of sand just
west of the city centre, and ideal in summer for either swimming or enjoying the terrace.
The nicest way to get here is to stroll from Mechelininkatu west through the Hietaniemi
cemetery.
Cruises
When strolling through the kauppatori in summer, you won't have to look for cruises - the
boat companies will find you. One-and-a-half hour cruises cost €20 to €25, while dinner
cruises, bus-boat combinations and sunset cruises are also available. Most go past Suo-
menlinna and weave between other islands.
A visit to the zoo or Suomenlinna is a good way to combine a scenic boat ride with oth-
er sightseeing. There are also longer day cruises by ferry and steamer from Helsinki to the
Finnish town of Porvoo and beyond.
IHA Lines CRUISE
