Fixed Slope
With Fixed Slope, the slope is held constant,
causing the location where the embankment
meets the terrain to vary in relation to its
distance from the road. If the end of the
embankment lies outside the grading limits,
then the embankment will end at the grading
limits, and the grading will terminate by using a
vertical face to intersect with the terrain. The
slope itself is controlled by two values: Cut
Slope and Fill Slope (see Figure 2-25 ).
