Configuring Roadside Grading
Roadside grading is the means by which
InfraWorks calculates and builds the
embankment from proposed road elevations to
the terrain elevations. There are two methods
used to calculate the locations where these
embankments meet the terrain: Fixed Width
and Fixed Slope.
Fixed Width
With Fixed Width, the location where the road
embankment meets the terrain is at a constant
distance from the edge of the road, while the
slope varies at different locations along the
road. The distance is set by the Grading Limit
value (see Figure 2-24 ).
