Note
If the availability of sufficient storage space for rendered files is likely to
become an issue, say for instance, we were rendering lots of files to disk
such as in an animated sequence, then we may want to have the best of
both worlds by opting to save to 16-bit (half float) files instead. This would
still provide plenty of leeway in the post-production process, while using
up only half the disk space of 32-bit files.
One last thing you may want to do before committing to a final render is
perform a check to avoid a nasty problem that I have on rare occasions
run into, which is the fact that maps assigned to material channels such
as bump inside a material can sometimes suddenly get disconnected
or lost. For this reason, it is a good idea at this point to just quickly go
through the materials in the editor using the Preview option. and quickly
check that everything is working as it should.
With our final render for this view done, we are ready to move on to the final post-
production stage of our project and add the finishing touches to our render.
