ratio. To follow along, you will need to open up the chapter 8
DT_Interior_Composition_Start.skp file and then perform the following
steps:
1. Open up the Output rollout in the V-Ray options editor.
2. At the bottom of the Output size section, click on the Get view aspect but-
ton.
What you will see is that V-Ray now alters its current Height dimension read out so
as to accurately match the aspect ratio of the SketchUp viewport, which in my par-
ticular case happens to be 2.0105:1, the specific pixel resolution now being 1000 x
497.
Note
As V-Ray will always assume that the edges of the SketchUp viewport are the
fixed points around which we want our aspect ratio to be created, this behavior
is obviously something we need to be very much aware of when it comes time
to creating our final composition, because if we for some reason end up resizing
our SketchUp application window, we will also be altering the final framing and
composition of the image that we are rendering.
