In-Depth Information
As you can see, this simple adjustment quickly and easily adds quite a bit more light
to the environment without any re-rendering at all, and although this is a little over-
done for demonstration purposes, you can hopefully see how we could easily use
this workflow to move us closer to the lighting description given in our initial defini-
tion.
If we wanted to, we could actually save this image to disk from the frame buffer now
using the Save button row of V-Ray Frame Buffer Icons at the top, and the adjust-
ment we have made would be burnt into or saved as a part of the image file.
However, seeing as Compositing applications such as Photoshop or After Effects
give us a much finer level of control over the color correction process compared to
the relatively simple tools found on the V-Ray frame buffer, this is not a workflow that
I would typically recommend following. Although the V-Ray frame buffer can certainly
do the job in a pinch, final compositing and color correction operations are gener-
ally speaking, best applied in dedicated post-production applications farther down
the production pipeline.
