Figure 6.1 Flows of people are sorted so that arrows between neighbouring
places appear uppermost. This is a particularly useful technique that allows move-
ments between specific places to be more clearly seen. However, by including just
seventeen places, the picture shows much less than before (see Figure P.4 in the
Preface). Would the picture have been much clearer if just a particular age group
could be shown?
