Figure 5.12 The housing bubble has spread out to cover most of Britain. This
is the lightest image of all. In five years housing prices have changed out of
recognition and many think they have made fortunes, but Liverpool and Glasgow
have been left out. At its centre, in London, housing price inflation appears to
have calmed down, but with some much darker spots in the heart of London.
