In-Depth Information
18. At the Cluster Security Policy screen, two options are presented. For Windows Server
2008 versions or later, choose Service SID (Security ID), which is a default setting.
19. As we are using Windows Sever 2008, we should use the recommended option as
referred to in the previous steps. Click Next to continue and the remaining screens
are similar to the standard SQL Server installation.
20. Click on Advanced to open the advanced installation options. On the Server
Configuration | Service Accounts page, specify the login account name and
password for SQL Server Database Engine Services.
21. You can assign the same login account to all SQL Server services, or you can
configure each service account individually. This account must be a Windows domain
user account. Built-in machine accounts (such as Network Service or Local Service)
are not recommended.
22. Next, use the Server Configuration | Collation tab to specify non-default collations
for the Database Engine services.
23. At the Database Engine Configuration | Account provisioning page, we have the
option to set the security mode and assign an account to be a member of SYSADMIN
fixed server role. Click Next to continue.
24. On the Error and Usage Reporting screen, choose the two option boxes if there is a
requirement to automatically send to Microsoft. Click Next to continue to the Cluster
Installation rules screen.
