Perched on Indian River, this complex has adorable cottages with kitchens, some with wa-
terfront views and all sporting cool tiled floors and a breezy, Caribbean style. The peaceful
grounds are lush with palm trees, guava and the exotic praying-hands banana tree. There's
a private beach, a ping-pong table and a pier for watching sunsets.

( 772-334-1466; http://jensen-beach-inn.com ; 1899 NE Jensen Beach Blvd; d $129-159, ste
$179-209; )
This old-fashioned B&B reminds us of classic European above-the-pub corner hotels, situ-
ated on the 2nd floor over an Irish restaurant in arty downtown Jensen Beach. With wood-
paneled walls and chenille bedspreads, the six rooms have an appealing lodgelike feel.

This place is a sliver of the French Quarter right near the beach. The menu is drenched in
Louisiana tradition - think rum-soaked shrimp and a New Orleans picnic (for hungry
seafood-lovers). A twinkling courtyard hosts live music on weekends.

blast, especially when the band's jamming.
