flatter. When the object is located at infinity, the wavefronts are flat. B. Flat wavefronts
from light originating at infinity cause a regular grid pattern to be formed on the sensor
of the Hartmann-Shack aberrometer. C. The aberrations of the eye cause the wave-
fronts that emerge from the eye to be distorted. These distorted wavefronts result in
an irregular grid pattern.
