ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: GILI MENO
By boat
The harbour is on the southeast corner of Gili Meno, within walking distance of the
main cluster of accommodation options; cidomos can provide transport for around Rp50,000.
Buy tickets for the
“hopping boat”
at the harbour office and for fast-boat connections at har-
bourside outlets. Shuttle bus/boat tickets to destinations on Lombok and Bali can be bought
from Perama (based in the
Kontiki
hotel, south of the harbour); other shuttle-bus tickets are
also widely advertised.
Destinations
Bangsal (daily; 30min); Gili Air (2 daily; 20min); Gili Trawangan (2 daily;
20min).
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation on Meno is less flashy than on Trawangan: there's little a/c and plenty of
roughness around the edges, so things can feel quite rustic even though you're mostly pay-
ing above budget prices. This is part of Meno's charm, but won't appeal to everyone. Prices
fluctuate dramatically and in high season (June-Sept and over Christmas) you need to book
ahead.
