Surfing
There are several decent surf breaks off Sanur, including directly in front of the
Inna
Grand Bali Beach
, in front of
Tandjung Sari
hotel, and about 1.5km offshore from the
Bali
Hyatt
. They're at their best Sept-March, when the northwest winds blow offshore. However,
there is little in the way of surfboard and boogie board rental; a couple of stalls south of the
Sindhu art market provide gear (around Rp90,000/2hr).
Watersports
Parasailing, glass-bottomed boats, banana boat rides, jet skis, sit-on kayaks,
even fishing trips in traditional boats - there's little that Sanur's enterprising agents won't
offer. Beachfront outlets rent out equipment, or contact one of the larger operators, Surya

), which is based in south Sanur, but
with agents/touts at a number of spots on Sindhu beach.
Yoga
The healthy-eating café

) runs drop-in yoga sessions, usually at 9.30am and 6pm (90min;
Rp90,000), and occcasional meditation tuition; information is posted on the noticeboard.
DIVING AND SNORKELLING AROUND SANUR
Despite the abundance of diving operators, Sanur's
reef dives
are only really of interest for
beginners or as a refresher. The coral is unspectacular, the visibility so-so, and dives rarely
descend beneath 12m - Nusa Lembongan is a better bet if you are experienced.

watersports
