Other than lazing in the sun by day and eating fish at night, there's little to do in Jimbaran,
although you can rent boogie boards on the beach or surf the Airport Rights surf break ,
halfway down the Jimbaran side of the airport runway; most surfers access it from Kuta, but
you should be able to charter a fishing boat from the beach.
ARRIVAL AND INFORMATION: JIMBARAN
By plane For a taxi from the airport to Jimbaran you'll pay Rp80,000-100,000.
By bemo There's a sporadic bemo service from Denpasar's Tegal terminal to Jimbaran, via
Kuta's eastern fringes and then on to Nusa Dua.
Destinations Denpasar (Tegal terminal; 50min); Kuta (30min); Ngurah Rai Airport (15min);
Nusa Dua (30min).
By bus Both routes of the new Trans Sarbagita bus service include Jimbaran. Services run
hourly from 5am-9pm and link Batubulan bemo terminal in Denpasar and Puputan Square
(Renon), Sanur, Kuta Central Parking and Nusa Dua.
By taxi A taxi from Kuta will cost about Rp70,000-80,000. Metered taxis circulate around
Jimbaran day and night.
By pick-up Most mid-priced and upmarket hotels will offer pick-up from (and travel to) the
airport for about Rp100,000-150,000.
Banks, exchange and internet ATMs, moneychangers and internet places are strung along
Jl Raya Uluwatu.
