5. Take the time now to name each of the objects created in the chapter in the
Command Panel. Then save the model as Mustang-07.max.
Building the Landing Gear
Now you'll take a few minutes to create the landing gear. One timesaving tech-
nique is to use the Clone method. This allows you to make copies of geometry,
rather than model each gear independently.
1. Using the Create Torus command, create a torus. Use the specs below and
move it into position (see Figure 4.46).
Radius 1: 8.5
Radius 2: 3.0
Rotation: 0.0
Twist: 0.0
Segments: 16
Sides: 9
2. Select the inside polygons that you will use to create the rim (see Figure 4.47).
