Noisy and tall, Bangkok can be an assault to your senses at first but once you get past the
tuk-tuk drivers and the touts you can discover some real gems in Bangkok. Even if you just
need to transit through Bangkok before heading to the north or south don't be too quick to
leave the city, there is a lot to see and do. Bangkok will certainly delight any traveler who
has a little time to dive into the action.
After a few days you may need a break from the epic nightlife and rowdy clubs so take a day
or two out of the city and visit one of the nearby floating markets or cultural sites in Ayut-
thaya. Before long it will be time to head to the north or south and explore more of Thailand
but know that you will be back in Bangkok before you know it.
