Sound Affects
Image layers in After Effects can use sound as a source for various visual filters
(some included with After Effects, others available from third parties). Open the
Sound Affects.aep
example file to view several uses of the Effects filters using
Audio as their source. Drop the Comp Window's Resolution/Down Sample to
Half to speed up your previews. To dissect each effect, press 'E' on each layer
then double-click a layer's effect to open the Effect Controls window.

Audio Spectrum
- displays several different patterns where the
elements of the pattern are generated by the frequency and
amplitude of the sound as heard at specific time intervals, akin to a
Spectrum Analyzer used to calculate sound energy of a limited range
of frequencies.
