Commands to
Get Started
Now that you've taken a quick tour of the AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT
screens, you're ready to begin drawing! This chapter will introduce you to
some basic commands used in drawing with AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT. To
get you started, this chapter will guide you through the process of drawing
a simple shape (see Figure 2.1).
You will need to use only five or six commands to draw the box. First,
you'll become familiar with the LINE command and how to draw lines at a
specific length. Then I'll go over the strategy for completing the form.
