Add an E-Mail Account
To send and receive e-mail messages, you must add your e-mail account to the Mail applica-
tion. Your account is usually a POP (Post Office Protocol) account supplied by your Internet
service provider, which should have sent you the account details. You can also use services
such as Gmail to set up a web-based e-mail account, which enables you to send and receive
messages from any computer. If you have an Apple ID — that is, an account for use on the
Apple iCloud service (
www.icloud.com
) — you can also set up Mail with your Apple account
details.
