listing for Bang Shang A Lang's website. The band was kind
enough to allow us to copy the text from their current website;
it was pasted into WordPad, and clearly this is the fast, easy, and
accurate method for adding text to a site you need to update.
Text can exist in two states on a website:

You are limited to
certain typefaces when you use live text on a web page;
Xara lists them on the Fonts drop-down list at the top
of the list. The World Wide Web does not support every
font you own, sadly.

If Xara detects
a noncompliant typeface in your document destined
for the Web, it renders a bitmap version of the text.
This means that if you want to use any typeface you've
purchased and installed, it will have to display as a
bitmap. The downside to this is that computer reading
machines can't read such text to disabled viewers, and
search engines cannot provide any details in the text for
Google, Bing, and other search services.
Therefore, you can get creative and see what typefaces are
compatible with your website. The following steps take you
through the addition of text to the index page:
1.
Hold the mouse wheel down to access the Push Tool,
and then move your view to Xara's gray pasteboard area.
When Xara imports the RTF text file, the text goes to the
center of the window. Things will get messy, and the text
is black and will be hard to find on the web page.

click the Files Of Type drop-down to choose Rich Text

The text is already formatted for you in the proper font,
font size, and alignment; this is one of the advantages
to document collaborators using the RTF file format.
However, if the text didn't have formatting, you'd
highlight the desired text by using the Text Tool, and
then pick a font from the drop-down list at the top of the
list, the ones that fall under the heading Web Safe Fonts.
