The side panels
The side panel details are poly cubes that have some faces extruded, with a few faces
cut out (see Figure 4.74).
You can load the scene file
locomotive_model_v3.mb
from the Locomotive project on the
CD to go over the models firsthand and get a much closer look. You can use the scene file
to help build the pieces shown in this section to complete the engine boiler and its details.
The following sections will cover the cabin and wheels.
The Cabin
All that remains now, as shown in Figure 4.75, are the main cabin, the wheels, and their
drive system. You'll finish those parts in the following sections; you'll set up, or
rig
, the
wheels for animation in Chapter 9.
