Divide the circumference by the length of panel you want to use. For round pens 50
feet or smaller, consider using 10-foot panels to get a more circular shape. For pens
larger than 50 feet, 12-foot panels should work fine.
Ex.:
204.1 รท 12 feet = 17 panels
You can add a 6-foot by 9-foot bow gate to the seventeen panels and end up with a
round pen slightly larger than 65 feet in diameter, or you can substitute a 12-foot com-
bination panel/bow gate for one of the seventeen panels and end up with a 65-foot
round pen. Either way, you'll have a nice-size training pen for longeing and early
rides.
