Next, we need some encounters for the mines (Figure 12-9 ). I will use the same troops for both of the top levels of
the mines. Much like the Dark Spire, I'll leave the last floor encounter-free.

A perceptive eye will notice that the weights add up to exactly 100, and we have a pair of encounters that account
for a mere 10 of that. I created that monster as a little tribute to a classic enemy archetype in RPGs. You can see him
(her? it?) in Figure 12-10 .
