Advanced settings
The multiple extruders settings (
Figure 5-16
)
are designed for machines with just that—
more than one extruder. Here you can spec-
ify specific tasks for each extruder, like sup-
port and infill.
You may want to bump the first layer width
up past 100% in order to get the plastic to
stick to the bed more efficiently, but I've nev-
er felt the need to adjust the other widths.
Step 3: Filament Settings
Now we're moving on to the next main tab,
Filament Settings (

). Your ma-
chine probably came with some plastic, or
you may have bought some other spools in
different colors or materials. Your filament is
probably advertised as being 3 mm or 1.75
mm in diameter, but that's never quite right.
