In the Password Protected Sharing section, make sure Turn Off Password Protected
Sharing is selected.

If you made any changes, click Save Changes. Then close the Control Panel.
7. Choose Start Documents.

Click New Folder. Type Class Sharing , and press Enter to name the new folder.
9. Right-click the Class Sharing folder, point to Share With, and choose Specifi c People.
10. In the File Sharing dialog box, type Everyone and click Add. (The Everyone group is
predefi ned in Windows 7, and all users are included in it.)
11. Click Share.
12. Click Done.
13. Copy a document fi le into the Class Sharing folder.
14. On another computer, confi rm that you can access that fi le in the shared folder.
Another way to share a folder is via its Properties dialog box. Right-click the folder and
choose Properties. Then, on the Sharing tab, click the Share button to open the same dialog
box you saw in Exercise 9.3.
Locally Securing and Encrypting Files and Folders
The fi le sharing you learned about in the previous section applies only when people are
connecting to the computer via the network. When different users log into the same computer
locally, though, you need to employ other methods to keep their private data separate.
