Make sure all the other check boxes are selected except the last one (Show Me Detailed
Notifi cations When New Microsoft Software Is Available).

Click OK to return to the main Windows Update window.

Click View Update History. A list of the previously installed updates appears. Review
this information, noting whether they were successful, their importance, and their
dates installed.

Click the Installed Updates hyperlink near the top of the window. A list of updates
appears. From this screen, you could remove an installed update.

Click one of the updates. An Uninstall button appears at the top of the list. If you
wanted to remove this update, you would click Uninstall to begin that process.

Click the back button (blue left-pointing arrow) to return to the View Update History list,
and then click back again to return to Windows Update.
10. If there are any updates available that haven't yet been installed, click the hyperlink
to view them. The exact wording of the hyperlink depends on the number of updates
available; if there is one, it will say 1 important update is available . Review the information
about the update. If you decide you want it, select its check box and click OK.
