Marble
The Marble texture allows you to simulate marbles. This is a 3D texture, that is, it
also varies along the object's width. Previous textures are applied by face and don't
have transitions between faces. There are two panels:
Appearance : Stone Color controls the marble base color and Vein Co-
lor controls the color of the vein; the texture automatically applies trans-
ition colors. Vein Spacing controls space between veins with a relative
value between 0 and 100; default is 1 . Vein Width controls the width of
marble veins with a relative value between 0 and 100; the default is 1 .
Transforms : As this is a 3D texture, parameters are slightly different.
With Link texture transforms checked, all transformations made in this
panel are also applied to this texture that is applied to other material char-
acteristics such as relief. Offset in the Positions option controls the tex-
ture origin related to the model corner, in all 3D directions. Rotation con-
trols texture rotation in the three directions.
Noise
The Noise texture creates an irregular pattern with soft transitions. This is also a 3D
texture and is often used to simulate relief and bump or as main texture for irregular
materials such as rock or grass. It includes three panels:
Appearance : The Noise Type list controls the type, between Regular ,
Fractal , or Turbulence . Size controls the scale of irregularities. Color 1
and Color 2 control both colors that are mixed to create the texture.
