• Assign to Selection : This assigns the material to the selected
objects
• Select Objects Applied To : This selects all objects that own
this material
• Edit , Duplicate , Rename , and Delete : These allow to, re-
spectively, edit, make a copy, rename, or delete the material
• Add to : This adds the material to the Favorites library or to the
current tool palette
• Purge All Unused : This removes unused materials from the
drawing
• Document bar : This list includes some filters and options:
• Document Materials : This contains filters for displaying
loaded materials, namely showing all, showing only applied
materials, showing materials from selected objects, showing
loaded but unused materials, and an option to purge all un-
used materials
• View Type : This controls how loaded materials are displayed
• Sort : This controls the order for displaying materials
• Thumbnail Size : This controls the size in pixels for material
thumbnails
• Library : This area includes, on the left-hand side, all libraries and re-
spective categories. Besides user libraries, the Autodesk Library and Fa-
vorites are always available. On the right-hand side, all materials of the
selected category or library are displayed.
• Library bar : This list includes some filters and options:

izing the materials view
