The 3DSCALE command
The
3DSCALE
command (alias
3S
) allows you to apply a scale factor to objects or
parts of objects. This command has been available since Version 2010. After select-
ing the objects, a scale gizmo is displayed:
Command:
3DSCALE
Select objects:

The scale gizmo is displayed and the command prompts for the base point, for which
the scale factor is applied:
Specify base point:
Point
This command prompts for the selection of an axis or plane. For solids and surfaces,
we can only indicate the gizmo:
Pick a scale axis or plane:
Axis selection
Finally, we apply a scale factor, either by specifying a point or by digitizing a value:
Specify scale factor or [Copy/Reference]:
