The backpackers dorms are kept separate from the private rooms, but have the same
high-quality decor and design. The top-floor private bedrooms cost about 33% more
than standard doubles but are worth it for the spacious balconies with city views, and
the relative peace and quiet. All have incredibly stylish bathrooms with water-effi-
cient raindance showers; other green technology includes the use of intelligent heating
systems, solar panels and greywater recycling.

Billing itself as an 'affordable design hotel', Fusion certainly has style
in abundance. From the revolving bar and the funky sofas that litter the public areas,
to the individually decorated bedrooms that resemble miniature modern-art galleries -
all white walls and black trim with tiny splashes of colour - the place exudes 'cool'.
You can choose between the world's most stylish backpacker dorms and private

This designer hotel, a block east of Wenceslas Square, is very cutting
edge, a blend of space age and organic. The public areas are covered in motifs in the
shape of jasmine blossoms and decorated with birch-twig arrangements and chrome
balls. The spacious bedrooms have a neutral palette of white, beige and tan, the clean
lines set off by plants, flowers or a curved edge; the bathrooms are in black tile and
chrome.

Straddling the divide between apartments and
hotels, this place offers the space and convenience of a suite with private bathroom
and kitchen along with hotel facilities such as 24-hour reception, maid service and
breakfast room. It's a good choice for families, with suites for up to six; the rooms are
pleasantly old-fashioned, and some on the upper floors have good views towards the
castle. There's a lift, though it's a bit on the small side - important, as the building has
