adel area to relax over a coffee or beer or a light meal of grilled sausages.

This relaxed beer garden and
cafe is a perfect place to cool off under the trees. You'll find it just on the edge of the
sculpture garden, south of the cathedral. Most come for coffee or beer, but there's also
a small menu of salads, omelettes and sweets.

Most of Prague's jazz clubs are smoky cellar af-
fairs. This riverside club is a definite step up, with a clean, modern decor and a de-
cidedly romantic view out over the Vltava. This place draws some of the best local
talent and occasional international acts. Go early or book to get a good table. Shows
normally begin at 7pm and 10pm.

This experimental theatre space, performing Czech and international dra-
matic works, is admired for its commitment to staging 'English-friendly' perform-
ances. It also hosts occasional live music and dance, as well as regular 'Stage Talks',
unscripted discussions with noted personalities.
