The Smíchov branch of the popular internet cafe Káva Káva
Káva in Staré Město is bigger than the original, with two large rooms as well as a
garden out the back. There's a small menu of salads and sandwiches and you can buy

KAVÁRNA JARDA MAYER
5pm-midnight Sat & Sun; ; Anděl)
This popular student cafe occupies a light airy
space in a quiet corner away from the hustle of Anděl metro station. There's not much
to eat, but there's decent coffee and good Černá hora beer. The atmosphere is relaxed
and perfect for hanging out or just sitting around surfing the net.
BAAR
DOG'S BOLLOCKS
5pm-3am Tue-Sat; Anděl)
This run-of-the-mill bar and nightspot is not far from the
Staropramen Brewery and is a decent choice if you're staying in the area and don't
want to go too far for your fun. In spite of the English-friendly name, it draws mostly
Czech students and young professionals letting loose.
BAAR
HELLS BELLS
Despite the glitzy office towers, Smíchov is still a down and dirty kind of place, and
this heavy metal bar is where the locals let it all hang out. Loud, crowded and fun -
the late closing time makes it a perfect ticket for that last drink of the night.

This wacky combination of a self-serve laundry and cafe sports '70s-era
thrift-shop furniture and a laid-back vibe. Not worth making a special trip for, but if
you happen to be in the 'hood, it's easily the coolest spot around for coffee. Also
serves beer, wine, mixed drinks and snacks. You can wash clothes (75Kč per load).
