IP Pavlova)
For more than two decades Café FX has been a vegetarian beacon in the
gritty neighbourhood surrounding the IP Pavlova metro stop. The food - mostly
salads, stir-fries and veggie burgers - is reliably good, though the menu has changed
little since opening day and it's hard not to get the feeling the place is coasting.

MIRELLIE €€
pleasingly upscale Italian restaurant is a good lunch or dinner choice. The specialties
here include grilled fish and meats and very good pasta. While the cuisine is Italian,
many of the servers hail from the former Yugoslavia, so expect a lot of good-natured
waiter bravado ‒ welcome or not.
CZZECCH
RESTAURACE CHUDOBA €
130-280Kč; 11am-1am Mon-Sat, 11am-midnight Sun; 11)
This upmarket Czech tavern-
restaurant occupies a choice corner on a leafy section of Vinohradská. The patrons are
mostly young professionals and couples out for an after-work beer or a good and reas-
onably priced Czech meal. The decor plays with the 'Ye Olde Vinohrady' theme, with
sepia-toned photos on the wall and polished wooden floors.

Ha Noi remains arguably the best of a handful of mostly me-
diocre Vietnamese restaurants around Prague. Decent spring rolls, both fresh and
fried, and two types of seasoned
pho
are on offer. The unremarkable set-up - just a
few wooden tables and the standard oriental kitsch - make it better suited to a hearty
lunch than that special night out.

Vršovice
seems to have a knack for good Italian restaurants. This place opened in March 2012
and has already established itself as a solid neighbourhood option. Expect the usual
round of pasta first courses and a good range of meat and fish dishes. There are good-
value lunch specials under 100Kč per dish.
