ACCOMMODATION
Anexo Colonial
Antonio Vaca Díez 344 03 4634045.
Arguably the best value ac-
commodation in town, this is an annexe of the

further up the street, run by

Hostal Santa Anita

Rooms come in two classes: one airy with impossibly lofty ceilings and walls painted in
café-crème neutrals, one more compact with beams: both have a lot of character. The breezy,
mosaic-tiled courtyard is spanned by
overha
nging eaves and lit by faux-colonial lamps, and
a bar and guests' kitchen are planned.

factory surprise if you've suffered one too many stinking Amazonian bathrooms. The bright,
capacious and spotlessly clean rooms come complete with private hammock, giving onto a
slender, leafy patio, while masks and

This place is unquestionably the most luxurious in Trinidad, and
by some margin. Rooms are painted in cool coffee and burnt umber, with carved doors and
