In-Depth Information
Montefalco:
Montefalco means Falcon's Mount and is situated on the hills of the Umbria region. It's a
walled town famous for its red wine called Sagrantino di Montefalco. It's made from a grape
that's not found anywhere else in the world, so those travelers looking for a unique wine
tasting experience should definitely stop by this small town. Here in Montefalco you'll also
find the Museo Civico di San Francesco. It's a smaller gallery, but not lacking on the im-
pressive artwork that includes the Life of St. Francis by Gozzoli.
