In-Depth Information
Travel Tip: Your best bet to find gourmet Cinque Terre cuisine
is in the biggest village of Monterosso. But if you're looking for
a more intimate dining experience, each village does have dining
options, although keep in mind that in the smaller villages, your
choices may be very limited to what's available.
Where to Stay:
There are numerous options to consider when it comes to looking for a place to stay while
visiting The Cinque Terre. If enjoying the great outdoors by camping is your thing, there
are a few campgrounds where you can rent a tent, two beds, and linens for a very reas-
onable price. Most campsite options are found outside of The Cinque Terre in the nearby
town of Levanto. Camping Aqua Dolce and Pian di Picce and Albero 'dOro are two camp-
grounds that are worth looking into.
There's also the option of renting out private rooms, guest houses, and apartments in the
five villages. One of the best ways to check for availability is to check out the Cinque Terre
Tourist Association for a list of locals who are currently renting out apartments or rooms.
This can be a more affordable way to make the most of your stay in The Cinque Terre.
Hostels and budget hotels are also available for those looking to watch their wallet while
traveling. This is the ideal choice for those looking to enjoy most of their time outdoors
since they won't really be spending much time in their room. Check out the largest hostel
in the area, Ostello Cinque Terre. Also, the heart of Cinque Terre-Short Rent is an ac-
commodation located along the blue path with great views and affordable prices. Ostella
Corniglia, located in the historic center of town in Corniglia offers small dorm rooms and
also private rooms as well. And if you're looking for more of a bed and breakfast type of
stay, Bed & Breakfast Marisa in Monterosso and B&B La Torretta in Manarola are great
options as well.
More Helpful Travel Tips:
 Hotels, campsites, and rooms for rent tend to fill up fast, espe-
cially in the late summer months of June, July, and August. Plan
ahead and be sure to book your accommodations several months in
advance to ensure you'll have a place to stay.
