Mongolians practically invented horse riding, making this one of the most iconic activ-
ities you can do here. Extended horse treks are best made in Arkhangai, Khövsgöl
and Khentii, while Terelj is good for day trips.
Best Off-Season Activity
Visit Mongolia in winter and you can try your hand at dog sledding. French tour guide

Best Area for Adventure
The varied terrain of Khövsgöl is ideal for horse riding or mountain biking. This is also

A nice option is a float down the Tuul Gol on an inflatable kayak or canoe. Several
tour operators can facilitate this. Hiking is possible on Bogdkhan Uul.
