( 7033 3036; mains T5000-10,000; summer 7am-9pm, winter 9am-6pm, closed Sun;
) This Australian-run cafe-restaurant is one of the highlights of Tsetserleg and should
not be missed even if you aren't staying at the guesthouse it's attached to. A full English
breakfast (T14,400) consists of bacon, sausage, eggs, toast and pancakes and will fill up
even the hungriest of overland travellers. Lunch and dinner options include lasagne,
chilli con carne, beef in beer sauce, Indian curries, a monstrous Aussie burger and some
vegetarian dishes to boot. Pastries, cakes and cookies are served all day long, as is a se-
lection of takeaway sandwiches (T4500 to T5000). And there's proper, fresh, espresso-
machine coffee (T2000 to T3800) - wahoo! The cafe is also a good place to ask about
travel conditions and look for a ride if you are hitching around the country. Note that it's
closed on Sundays (although guests staying at the guesthouse will still get their compli-
mentary breakfast). Also worth noting: no alcohol.
