Apart from ger camps, many individual families rent out a spare ger and/or hire
horses, normally at cheaper rates than the ger camps. You'll have to ask around as none
advertise. Expect to pay around T10,000 per person per bed. Meals usually cost around
T5000.
Road to Terelj Village
Otgoo Family Ger GUEST GER$
( 8915 6391; per person with meals US$20) There are a few family gers as you approach
the Buveit camp, where you may be able to find cheap, basic accommodation. One is Ot-
goo Family Ger, which also rents out horses.
Guru Camp TOURIST GER CAMP$$$
( 9909 6714; per person with meals US$45) Located 14km along the main road from the
Gorkhi-Terelj National Park entrance, Guru has clean showers, a comfortable restaurant-
bar and sweeping views. There's also a small art shop and a foot-massage centre. Boya,
the manager, speaks some English. Closes by October.
Buveit TOURIST GER CAMP$$$
( 9911 4913; per person with/without meals US$45/20) About 13km along the main road
from the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park entrance, Buveit is in a beautiful secluded valley
3km east of the main road (walk past Chinggis Khaan Country Club then turn right and
bear left).
Ayanchin TOURIST GER CAMP$$$

) This luxury, American-built camp has a Western-style lodge, modern shower and toilet
block, a children's play area and a top-notch restaurant (mains T19,000-T32,000)
serving dishes such as cheeseburgers, steak, pasta and grilled salmon. It's about 10km
from the main Gorkhi-Terelj National Park entrance, marked with a big billboard. Open
year-round.
