bab), usually served with onions and cucumber, prepared by Uzbek and Mongolian street
vendors and served in tents outside the State Department Store. A true taste of Central
Asia not to be missed!

ellers alike, this bakery and coffee shop serves an array of reasonably priced treats, in-
cluding apple turnovers and chocolate croissants. Come in the morning when these items
are straight out of the oven. You can also enjoy freshly made sandwiches and paninis
while listening to a great music playlist. It's an excellent place to load up on snacks be-
fore heading off on an expedition. It's located on a narrow lane behind the Cashmere
House.

thentic Japanese cafe has a dedicated following, who come for the simple curry lunches,
fried chicken, ramen noodles, excellent cakes (try their famous cheesecake and cream
puffs!) and friendly atmosphere. Manga fans will appreciate the collection of comic
books. Note this place is usually closed in July.
