landmark to use as a point of reference.
It also happens to be the second tallest brickwork tower that can be found anywhere in the
world.
This church is a must visit for art lovers as it hosts many iconic pieces of religious art that
are celebrated for their greatness across the world.
Probably the most iconic piece to be found here is Michelangelo's Madonna and Child
sculpture, one of very few Michelangelo sculptures that can be seen outside of Italy.
The church is also home to some interesting tombs: Buried in this crypt lie Charles The
Bold and Mary of Burgundy (his daughter) who died when she was 25yrs old after falling
from her horse.
